This course, designed for seventh graders, focuses on instruction of the Maryland College and Career-Readiness Standards for reading, writing language, listening, and speaking. Reading and writing strategy instruction focuses on literary and informational texts, as well as success in real world applications and on the PARCC assessment. This course is designed to occur in a small class environment and will incorporate instructional practices and strategies based on student learning styles and individual needs.
