Teen Adventure Camp

Program Description

Join a camp specifically for teens with special needs. Our program, in partnership with M-NCPPC, provides activities including games, challenge courses, outdoor environmental education, woodland/stream ecology, arts and crafts. The staff to participant ratio is 1:4 to allow campers independence for developing social skills and building confidence.l also explore each person's ecological footprint and climate change. Program activities will be held at

different locations throughout Prince George's County including the William S. Schmidt Outdoor Education Center.

Who Should Apply

PGCPS students aged 13-21 with special needs can apply.

Cost/Accommodation
  • M-NCPPC does charge a fee to attend this camp.
  • Campers will meet at regional centers in Prince George's County. From the regional centers, transportation will be provided to and from Camp Schmidt. 
  • Lunch will not be provided. 
  • Campers should bring a bagged lunch and drink.
