Program Description
The High School Summer Learning Program offers students an opportunity to recover a previously failed credited course(s) and/or earn an original credit(s) towards fulfilling graduation requirements. The 2025 High School Summer Learning Program will provide four (4) different summer sessions: SESSION ONE will support all summer graduating seniors. Eligible students will be able to register for no more than (2) blended learning asynchronous courses. SESSION TWO and SESSION THREE will support all grade levels, including graduating seniors. Eligible students will be able to register for no more than one (1) credit recovery per session. Students participating in Session Two and Session Three will receive synchronous, in-person, direct instruction each day over the course of two (2) weeks, Monday through Friday from a certified PGCPS teacher. SESSION FOUR will support all grade levels, including graduating seniors. Eligible students will be able to register for no more than one (1) original credit course; please note the approved original credit course offering list. Depending on the course offering, students participating in Session Four will receive synchronous and/or asynchronous instruction over the course of four (4) weeks, Monday through Thursday from a certified PGCPS teacher.
