Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Associate Superintendent of Supporting Services will be responsible for overseeing all operations within Supporting Services, ensuring efficient and effective operation of all elements/programs. Areas of responsibility include Alternative Infrastructure Planning and Development (former P3 Office), Building Services (Maintenance and Plant Operations), Transportation, Central Garage, Capital Improvement, Food and Nutrition Services, Safety and Security Services, and Purchasing and Supply. The Associate Superintendent of Supporting Services must also assess the personnel needs of the school system, advise the Chief Operating Officer (COO), plan and organize issues and strategies, and interpret Board of Education policies and administrative procedures.
Master’s degree from an accredited college or university required. A minimum of five (5) years of progressive, hands-on management experience required, preferably within the education and/or service sector. Previous experience in the areas of supporting services for a school system preferred.

Work schedules may include evenings and weekends. Incumbent may be required to work beyond normal hours with little or no advanced notice. Driver’s license is required inasmuch as there will be a need to travel to sites throughout the school district.
