Under the direction of the Associate Superintendent - Supporting Services, the Director plans, directs and administers the activities of the Department of Building Services for the most effective use of custodial services, personnel and materials. Work includes directing and administering the school facility use program within the confines of Board of Education policy. Responsibilities include assessing the needs of the unit, developing an operational framework for the unit, developing a budget based on analysis of needs, and implementing the process and procedures for evaluating programs and personnel in the unit. Special assignments are received through conferences, written instructions and requests from the Associate Superintendent - Supporting Services.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with increasingly responsible experience in administration Master’s preferred; with a minimum of five (5) years of successful work experience with three (3) years supervisory experience in public or private sector operations and/ or facilities management; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
