Under the direction of the Evaluation Supervisor, the Employee Effectiveness and Evaluation Specialist will support principals, managers, educators and system employees in all aspects of the employee evaluation system, including but not limited to: self-assessment, goal setting, plan development, collection of evidence and formative and summative assessments. The incumbent of this position will support managers with all facets of the evaluation process and will work with a variety of individuals and serve as liaisons between schools, offices, district content experts, supervisors, directors and executive level management to ensure the performance evaluation process is ensuring effective teaching in every classroom and effective leadership in all schools. This position will require working year round on training, support and capacity building throughout the district, including support to building new evaluation systems for all employee groups as required.
Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in education, educational policy, administration or a related field required. A minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience required.
Holds or is eligible for certification/licensure appropriate to area of assignment issued by the Maryland State Department of Education.
No direct supervisory responsibilities.
