Under the general supervision of the Grounds Foreman II, the Equipment Mechanic Foreman oversees the repair and maintenance of various equipment related to grounds maintenance. The incumbent of this position performs maintenance, repairs and makes adjustments to mechanical and electrical attachments to grounds equipment; troubleshoots, identifies and repairs electrical malfunctions of grounds equipment and attachments.
High school diploma, GED or completion of a vocational school program. A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in small engine repair and mechanical work.
Possession of an appropriate and valid Maryland Motor Vehicle Operator’s License (commercial operator’s license Class A) with driving record indicating five (5) or fewer current points of which no more than three (3) shall have been accumulated as a result of traffic violations occurring while operating a Board of Education vehicle.
Provides guidance and oversight to Equipment Mechanic.
