Under general supervision, the Facility Management System Technician II performs skilled technical work in the use, modification, implementation, training and monitoring of the Building Services’ maintenance work order system and related software. The incumbent of this position is responsible for supporting the proper use of the software in all schools and offices, and provides solutions to streamline use and collect data for the department. The Facility Management System Technician II provides training as needed to user groups and troubleshoots computers and mobile devices as related to the use of the software both remotely and through onsite visits.
High School diploma required; additional coursework/certifications in the technology field preferred. A minimum of five (5) years of experience with databases and use of technology, computers and software, preferably in the assigned functional area.
Possession of an appropriate and valid Maryland Motor Vehicle Operator’s License with driving record indicating five (5) or fewer current points of which no more than three (3) shall have been accumulated as a result of traffic violations while operating a Board of Education vehicle.
No direct supervisory responsibilities.
