Under the direction of the Instructional Supervisor Curriculum and Instruction – Library Media Services, the Instructional Assistant is responsible for the implementation, coordination, and maintenance of the automation of all school library media centers. Work includes data conversion, training, maintaining the system of the Follett Destiny online catalog, the Library Media Google site and any public-facing online pages. The Instructional Assistant will implement all virtual guidelines in the Maryland MDK12 Digital Library Consortium memorandum of understanding, as needed. In addition, they will assist in managing the Prince George’s County Public School Professional Library.
Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Library Media Services/Instructional Technology required, with a minimum of three (3) years of successful virtual library media experience.
Holds or is eligible for certification/licensure appropriate to area of assignment issued by the Maryland State Department of Education.
No direct supervisory responsibilities.
