The Instructional Specialist - Non-Traditional Programs is responsible for the development, coordination and implementation of the instructional program. The responsibilities of this position include collaborations with school and administrative personnel for program planning and design, budget development, recruitment and retention of staff, staffing assignments, observations and professional development. The Instructional Specialist will maintain high standards for students, staff and parent satisfaction within Prince George's County Public Schools.
Master's degree in an applicable field of education from a regionally accredited college or university required. A minimum of three (3) years of successful teaching experience required.
Holds or is eligible for a valid professional license in Administrator I (historical) or Supervisor of Instruction, Assistant Principal, or Principal issued by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE).
Assists in the evaluation and supervision of school staff.
