Under the direction of the Instructional Supervisor of Test Administration, the Instructional Specialist – Test Administration performs specialized testing and research work in the implementation and coordination of assessment programs at the elementary, middle, or high school level for the Department of Testing, Research and Evaluation. The programs include state assessments and other district assessments that support the variety of instructional programs.
Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Educational Measurement, Statistics, Administration and Supervision or related area required. A minimum of five (5) years’ successful experience as a School Test Coordinator or alternate School Test Coordinator required.
Holds or is eligible for a valid professional license in Administrator I (historical) or Supervisor of Instruction, Assistant Principal, or Principal issued by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE).
No direct supervisory responsibilities.
