Under the direction of the Director, the incumbent of this position provides systems development for the school district's Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. The work involves moderate to full-range tasks as assigned by the supervisor in the analysis, design/development and testing of Oracle 12i applications and customizations across related functional areas and the development of conversion and system implementation plans that ensures software, developed and deployed to the production environment, adheres to specified requirements, satisfies end-user needs and expectations, and meets the objectives of Prince George’s County Public Schools.
· Working knowledge of Oracle ERP technical database foundation and table structure and relationships;· Must be able to use Oracle development tools to prepare reports and extracts for the business and instructional staff to support the school system;· Working knowledge of Oracle Development tools such as Developer 6i (Forms and Reports), SQL*plus, SQL*loader, Oracle Software Utilities, Workflow and Alerts, Discoverer 10g web, Custom Library (PLL) and SQL performance tuning;
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited college or university required. A proven record of success as an Oracle Developer preferred. A minimum of three (3) years of Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application development experience preferred. A minimum of twelve (12) months experience with Oracle SQL and Oracle PL/SQL programming, report writing experience, and/or K-12 Public Sector Schools experience preferred.
