Under general supervision, has responsibility for the work performed by Warehouseman I as well as actively performing manual and clerical work in maintaining a storage site for general classes of supplies and equipment.
An employee in this class is responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing supplies and equipment in a moderately large storage site or several smaller storage sites; oversees the day-to-day activity of employees assigned to the storage site(s). The work involves performance of essentially the same duties as those performed by a Warehouseman I; however, somewhat greater responsibility is involved in that the employee is held accountable for the efficient operation and security of the site(s) to which assigned. These duties are performed in accordance with established policies and procedures, and under general supervision from the Warehouse Leader and/or Warehouse Manager. Assistance is received from other employees as required.
Completion of a standard high school diploma or GED, with some experience and training at the level of Warehouseman I, or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Possession of an appropriate and valid Maryland Motor Vehicle Operators License with driving record indicating five (5) or fewer current points of which no more than three (3) shall have been accumulated as a result of traffic violations occurring while operating a Board of Education vehicle.
No direct supervisory responsibilities.
