Salary Lane Change Information

Salary Lane Change Request Process

  • An Electronic Salary Lane Change Request Form must be submitted as soon as an employee qualifies for placement on a new lane of the salary scale. Within 48 hours of the form submission, the employee must request that an official transcript be sent to licensure.escrip@pgcps.org. Applications are reviewed in the queue in the order in which they are submitted. If your official transcript is not on file at the time of submission review, your application will be denied. You will be able to confirm that your official transcript has been received once you receive a status update from the institution that sent the official transcript.

  • Retroactive wages will be issued effective at the start of the pay period in which the License Office of Talent Acquisition and Management receives the required documents.

  • Please allow up to six pay periods from the date of your submission for processing.

Salary Lanes and Coursework Qualifications

All coursework submitted by an employee must be completed at a regionally accredited institution or approved through the Maryland State Department of Education (CPDs). All official transcripts should be emailed directly from the institution to our office at licensure.escrip@pgcps.org.
