Friday, August 26 is Student Orientation Day, an opportunity for students to meet teachers, conduct a walk-through of their schedule and participate in school spirit activities.
Who should attend orientation?
Pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students
Students transitioning to middle school this year
Rising ninth graders
Any student new to a school (all grade levels)
Pre-K & Kindergarten:
Students will attend orientations for no more than a half-day.
Parents/guardians will receive a letter of invitation from their school indicating orientation start times and the day’s schedule.
Transportation will not be provided by the district.
Middle & High School:
Orientation will be held as a 3-hour early dismissal day (A schedule).
Students should arrive at their school’s start time.
Transportation will be provided.
“Grab-n-go” breakfast and a bag lunch will be provided.
