Suitland High School’s Class of 2025 is graduating as the school prepares to open a brand-new campus — a major milestone for the Prince George’s County community.
The new building will replace a decades-old facility and comes after years of advocacy from students, families and staff. School officials say the upgraded campus reflects the caliber of talent coming out of Suitland — especially in the school’s nationally recognized arts program.
This year's 68 Center for the Visual and Performing Arts (CVPA) grads earned more than $8.3 million in scholarship offers this year, with many heading to top programs across the country.
Suitland is one of several PGCPS schools being rebuilt as part of the district’s ongoing capital improvement plan. The new facility will feature modern classrooms, dedicated arts spaces, and upgraded athletic and community resources.
Graduates are moving on to college, careers, and military service. District leaders say the class represents the future of Prince George’s County — and the new campus will serve students and families for generations to come.
“This is more than a graduation — it’s a turning point,” said PGCPS Superintendent Millard House II. “Suitland is moving forward, and this class is leading the way.”
