The Class of 2026 at Northwestern High School has demonstrated excellence in academics, leadership, scholarship, and service, leaving a lasting legacy across the school community.
This remarkable graduating class earned more than $7.2 million in scholarships, totaling an incredible $7,282,626, as students prepare to pursue opportunities at colleges, universities, military programs, and career pathways across the nation.
Service has been a defining characteristic of the Class of 2026. Collectively, seniors completed an extraordinary 39,408 service-learning hours, reflecting a deep commitment to community and civic engagement.
Among the many standout achievements:
Oni Olaoluwa was accepted into the prestigious Maryland General Assembly (MGA) Page Program, an opportunity that places students at the center of state government and leadership.
Thirty-two students earned the Seal of Biliteracy, recognizing proficiency in multiple languages and celebrating the school’s diverse and globally minded student body.
Fifty-eight percent of seniors applied to at least one college or university.
Forty-eight percent were accepted into at least one college or university.
Twenty-five percent earned acceptance to three or more colleges and universities.
The school’s distinguished Navy JROTC program also continued its tradition of excellence. The 22 graduating cadets collectively completed an astounding 15,775 service hours, demonstrating exceptional discipline, leadership, and dedication to service. In addition, eight cadets have committed to serving our nation by joining branches of the United States Armed Forces.
