The FY2026 Educational Facilities Master Plan (EFMP) served as a collection of amendments to the FY2025 EFMP. As required annually by the State of Maryland, this document laid the foundation for the subsequent Capital Improvements Plan (CIP). The updated format aimed to provide a clear and readable overview of key policies, environmental and community inputs, accomplishments, challenges, and proposed actions.
The Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) Department of Capital Programs hosted a virtual public hearing on the proposed FY2026 amendments to the FY2025 EFMP. The event provided community members an opportunity to offer feedback and present testimony regarding proposed capital improvement projects, including school construction, modernization efforts, and updated project priorities outlined in the EFMP.
In advance of the hearing, participants were encouraged to review the FY2026 Amendments Summary and the FY2025 EFMP. Those interested in speaking during the hearing registered beforehand, with each speaker allotted three minutes to address the panel. Community members also had the option to submit written testimony to the Prince George’s County Board of Education.
Thank you to everyone who participated and shared their input. Your feedback plays a vital role in shaping the future of our educational facilities.
