This course is designed for those students who want to study microorganisms and their activities. It is concerned with the form, structure, reproduction, physiology, metabolism and identification of microbes. It includes the study of their distribution in nature, their relationship to each other and other living things, their effects on 67 Prince George’s County Public Schools High School Course Offerings • Draft Fall 2019 humans, and changes they make in their environment. The technical aspects of lab work are emphasized.
