Career and Technical Education Young Entrepreneur Camp

Program Description
This camp is designed for high school students interested in entrepreneurship and wanting to learn more about what it takes to start a business. During the camp, students will learn aspects of starting a business, to include:

- identifying a business
opportunity
- developing a business plan
- marketing and sales
- financial planning
- legal considerations
- building a team
- scaling a business

This comprehensive program provides the resources, structure, steps, and a supportive environment for young entrepreneurs. They will learn what an entrepreneur is (and how they think) along with the intricacies of branding, marketing, sales, financials, and business planning. Students will create a visual business plan and elevator pitch to present to industry professionals. Topics are covered at an easy-to-understand introductory level with homework assignments to reinforce classroom materials. Students have the opportunity to win monetary prizes.

Who Should Apply
Rising 10th,11th, and 12th grade students.
