A New Chapter Begins!

As we gear up for the 2026–27 school year, Prince George’s County Public Schools is moving into a new chapter of alignment across leadership, resources, and the work ahead!

Under Superintendent Dr. Shawn Joseph, the FY 2027 operating budget is in place, along with the district’s new three-year strategic plan, Forward by Design: Acceleration 2029. Together, they establish a clear roadmap for the next phase of progress.

Superintendent Joseph also shared an update with the outlining organizational changes designed to further strengthen support for schools and students.

 

Free Summer Meals for Kids and Teens

Children and teens can enjoy free breakfast and lunch at participating school meal sites!

UPDATE: The Glenarden Library community location has been closed due to construction.

Kick off the new school year at our annual Back-to-School Fair on Saturday, August 8! Join us for a morning of activities and connection with district resources and community partners. This is how we’re moving forward into a new chapter: together, aligned, and ready for a strong start!
