The Instructional Lead Teacher (ILT) will teach in a specified content area for at least 60% of the teacher’s working time. The ILT will also lead and/or assist the instructional staff in the design of a high quality instructional program that compliments and supports the curriculum. The incumbent will actively participate as a member of the instructional learning teams and support curriculum, curriculum initiatives, instruction and assessments. This position will require leadership in collaborative planning, curricular decision-making and student problem solving.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in applicable field of education and a minimum of five (5) years of teaching experience.
Holds or is eligible for a professional license appropriate to area of assignment issued by the Maryland State Department of Education, Advanced Professional Certificate preferred. Holds and maintains the National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT) designation.
No direct supervisory responsibilities.
