Under the direction of the Principal, the Program Coordinator – College Park Academy will assist with the instructional program and pupil services functions of the school. The position is responsible for monitoring, implementing and assessing the program and communicating with appropriate stakeholders. The employee will assist with coordinating an academic program focusing on college and university readiness for grades 6 through 12.
• Directs both the middle and high school work within the assigned program;
• Performs day-to-day operational management in support of College Park Academy (CPA) initiatives;
• Monitors and recommends program enhancements to the principal;
• Participates in team meetings, i.e., Leadership Team Meetings, to plan and develop internal strategies, and address administrative issues and concerns relative to program implementation;
• Coordinates communication within the building with school administrators, families, staff, outside agencies, and/or personnel from other programs;
• Establishes and implements school policies and administrative regulation pertaining to student activities;
• Maintains records and submits reports in a timely manner; and
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required. A minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience and K-12 education experience required. Experience leading instructional teams (e.g., collaborative planning), interpreting and presenting data to teams, etc. preferred.
Holds or is eligible for a Standard Professional Certificate (SPC) issued by the Maryland State Department of Education required; Advanced Professional Certificate (APC) preferred.
No direct supervisory responsibilities.
