Performs highly responsible duties and supervisory work and will be responsible for the overall function of assigned locations, or oversee various personnel programs. Special assignments are also received through conferences, written instructions/requests from the Director. Work is reviewed on the basis of results obtained and through frequent conferences with the Director.
Supervising the operation and workflow of an office or program shifting staff members, as needed, within the office to meet the objectives of the work plan and to ensure that deadlines are met;
Planning, organizing and developing standardization and evaluating organizational efforts and procedures to ensure strategic utilization of contracting goals and objectives;
Supervising office staff members by providing directions, guidelines and assigning work appropriately;
Monitoring assignments for quality, efficiencies, timeliness and tracks ongoing management analysis metrics to determine if goals are being met and/or initiation of remedial actions are necessary;
Carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organization’s policies and applicable laws which include interviewing, hiring, staff development, staff supervision, compliant resolution and problem solving;
Coordinating with the Director and other staff members as needed; and
Overseeing and supervising a staff of specialist, assistants and clerks.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the general public, co-workers, elected and appointed officials and members of diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds;
Knowledge of methods and techniques for fact-finding, analysis and resolution of complex contract issues, and the ability to develop concrete action plans for resolution;
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly concisely and with technical accuracy; and
Computer proficiency with primary emphasis on office organizational tools (Intranet/Internet; E-mail, task tracking, and calendar functions), spreadsheets, databases, and word processing (Microsoft Office product suite) and the Oracle database system is highly preferred.
Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Organizational Management, or a related field; minimum of (5) five years demonstrated supervisory experience; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
