Program Description
Comprehensive Principal Induction Program supports first year principals and they are assigned a leadership development coach and job-alike principal mentor.

Mandatory attendance in program upon acceptance of Principal position in Prince George’s County Public Schools

Program Framework
The CPIP is a two year program where newly appointed principals will engage in varied leadership experiences that will consist of the following:
- A monthly training program aligned to the Professional Standards for Educational Leaders (PSEL) during the first year
- An assigned Leadership Development Coach who is a former PGCPS administrator with a solid track record of performance and has a skill set to support the career needs based on their assigned protege’s skill assessment indicators.
- An assigned NAESP Certified Principal Mentor who will attend the monthly meeting with the protege.
