About the Government Relations, Compliance and Procedures Office

Background and Responsibility

The primary responsibility of this office is to create a more compliance oriented school system by working collaboratively with schools and offices to enhance safe and supportive learning and working environments, meeting financial responsibilities, and following policies and administrative procedures. Additional responsibilities are tracking and monitoring of legislation, developing, reviewing and revising board policies and system administrative procedures. 

The office monitors the implementation of Board of Education policies and PGCPS procedures, with a focus on compliance which supports Prince George’s County Public Schools commitment to educational equity within our schools and worksites and its intention for students and staff to work, learn, and interact in schools and worksites that affirm diversity.

Mission

The mission of the office is to serve as a resource for schools and central offices in providing accountability and awareness of our PGCPS expectations, as well as, having the necessary information to create and maintain a lawful, positive, safe, and healthy climate and culture.
