Board Policy 3293 - Donated Funds


From time to time, fund donations may be received from private parties or other agencies outside the school system. Such donations may be accepted by school system officials when benefits to educational matters or other school system benefit will result.

The approved fiscal year budget will include the total income estimate for “Donated Funds Projects” in the restricted programs section and individual donations may be accepted within the amount so budgeted. Donations which would result in exceeding the total budgeted income amount will be brought to the Board in the usual manner when additional budget authority is required.

A report of donations received will be made at least quarterly to the Board by the Superintendent.
