Board Policy 4115 - Principals as Elected Officials

It is the policy of the Prince George’s County Board of Education that any principal who serves in a part time paid elected position which would require substantial time away from the school building should be transferred to a position other than the principalship for the duration of their tenure as an elected official. This position may be any Unit I, II, or III covered position or nonunion position.

All other rights and benefits normally accruing to the affected individual will continue pursuant to the applicable provisions of the negotiated agreement with the Association of School-Based Administrators and Supervisors.
