Board Policy 5131.1 - Bus Conduct

Disruptive incidents by students in school buses will be the subject of full investigation and reporting to the Superintendent of Schools by principals of schools concerned.

The principal’s investigation will include a meeting of the students assigned to the bus, the bus driver, and the area supervisor for the purpose of determining what actually happened, and the reasons for the disruption.

Full disclosure of the principal’s investigation will be made in written reports to the Superintendent of Schools. Copies of the report will be furnished to the president of the local PTA or the PTA Executive Committee.

Appropriate disciplinary action will be taken against students proven to be guilty of disruptions and parents of a guilty party will be notified of intended actions.
