The PGCPS Alarm Room and Security System Maintenance Technicians form the backbone of the district's real-time security response and infrastructure reliability. Operating behind the scenes 24/7, these teams ensure that all school sites are monitored, connected, and protected at all times.

Alarm Room - 24/7 Monitoring and Rapid Response = Always Watching 

The Alarm Room is staffed and operates 24/7/365, ensuring that PGCPS never loses sight of what is happening across the district, no matter the time or day. It is the central hub for all emergency alerts in our school.

  • Monitors fire, burglary, and panic alarms
  • View live security camera footage
  • Dispatch emergency responders
  • Keeps detailed records of all incidents and alarms
  • Provides real-time support for school safety

Security System Maintenance Technicians 

Our Security Technicians are vital to ensuring that PGCPS security systems remain operational, up-to-date, and are ready to respond at a moment's notice. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure security cameras, door access systems, and alarm panels
  • Perform regular inspections and testing
  • Respond to service requests and equipment issues from schools and facilities
  • Support the Alarm Room by ensuring system reliability
