Safe Schools Maryland Tip Line

The Safe Schools Maryland tip line is an anonymous reporting tool free to all Maryland public, private, and nonpublic schools, and is accessible for all Maryland residents by phone 1-833-MD-B-SAFE (1833-632-7233), online at, and by downloading the free app via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Designated school officials are immediately notified about a tip concerning students, teachers, and/or activities at, near, or related to their school, allowing officials to respond accordingly and prevent an unsafe act from occurring. All attached documents are reproducible for local distribution. Our Mission

The mission of the Department of Security Services for Prince George's County Public Schools is to provide a safe and orderly learning environment that reasonably ensures the safety and security of students, faculty and staff, visitors, and parents. Security Services also attempts to ensure that students and staff have a safe and secure learning environment in which to learn and teach, enabling each student to achieve his or her maximum potential and future success. The Department of Security Services supports 204 schools, including special schools, academies, and offices, and wants all students, faculty, and other employees will be educated in learning environments, as well as working environments that are safe, drug-free, and conducive to learning. The Department of Security Services is committed to promoting safe and secure environments for Prince George's County students and staff with the highest level of customer service. To do so, we have enhanced our training and technology, as well as partner with the school community, public safety and law enforcement, and federal government agencies. Through these partnerships, we are able to provide support, resources, and training to all schools and facilities at Prince George's County Public School system. Everything we do is aimed at working toward the common goal of success for every student and employee.
