Dear CCMS Parents and Families,
As we approach the final 19 days of the school year, we encourage all students and families to remain focused and committed to finishing the school year academically strong. Your partnership and support are essential to your child’s success.
Parents, please continue to monitor ParentVUE regularly to review your child’s grades, attendance, and academic progress. In addition, check Canvas daily for missing assignments, upcoming projects, assessments, and class updates. Staying informed helps students remain organized and accountable for their learning.
We also encourage families to communicate frequently with teachers and our Professional School Counselors regarding academic concerns, possible retention, missing work, and strategies to support student achievement during the final weeks of school.
Attendance continues to matter. Students are arriving late daily, which impacts teaching and learning. The student's arrival time is 8:05 AM. If you are dropping your child off at school, please ensure they arrive on time. Tardiness is considered unexcused and causes students to miss important instructional time. Based on policy, make-up assignments do not have to be provided for missed instruction due to tardiness, which will result in a failing grade. Click the video link. video
Please remind your child to demonstrate positive behavior at school, walking to and from home, on the school bus, and at the bus stop. Students should use respectful words and actions toward adults and peers and continue to represent our Cougar PRIDE positively each day.
Additionally, we encourage parents to check your child’s bookbags and small purses for items not allowed in school, monitor their child’s cellphone usage, emails, chats, and social media accounts for inappropriate messages, posts, or interactions. Open communication and supervision help us maintain a safe and positive school environment for all students.
Together, we will continue to work collaboratively as a school community to support student success and uphold our Cougar PRIDE expectations.
