Welcome Letter

Greetings Falcon Students and Families!

Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year.  We hope you have enjoyed a restful summer and are as excited as we are to embark on a new and enriching academic journey. It is my privilege to continue as the leader of Central High School for this upcoming school year.  I look forward to working with all of our families to help our students have a successful high school experience as we continue to open doors to the future, one diploma at a time.  Our goal is to prepare all scholars for future enrollment in a post secondary institution, enlistment, employment, and/or entrepreneurship.

We have worked diligently this summer to prepare for the new school year.  As you prepare to return for the first day of school, we need all students and parents/guardians to review the following information so we all have a successful school year.

Parents/guardians, have you updated your contact information in Synergy?  To update your information, create an account or activate your account, please go to: https://www.pgcps.org/offices/information-technology/technology-training-and-instructional-technology/parentvue-support-for-parents-and-guardians.  It is important that teachers and administrators have up-to-date information in order to communicate positive updates, medical emergencies, and/or concerns.  Most school communication will come through messenger - as a phone call, text message, or email.

Students, daily preparation will be key to your academic success.  Arriving at school prepared with all the necessary supplies, a positive attitude, and willingness to learn will set you up for a great year.  Our students' school day begins promptly at 7:30 am and ends at 2:15 pm.  This means you should be in class, seated and ready to learn at 7:30 am.  The building will continue to open as early as 7:00 am for students to arrive.  Students who walk or get a ride to school should arrive 10-15 minutes earlier to allow time to grab breakfast, go to their locker, and be in the classroom by 7:30 am.
