Dear Lewisdale Families,

Thank you for all that you do to support our Lewisdale community. Your partnership, encouragement at home, and daily commitment to your children’s success truly make a difference. We appreciate you and are grateful to work alongside such dedicated families.

We are almost finished with our WIDA assessments—thank you to our amazing ELD teachers and students for their hard work.  Your flexibility and focus are appreciated!

Now, we are gearing up for upcoming State Assessments. Our 5th graders will kick off MISA testing (Maryland Integrated Science) on March 4, 10, 11, and 13. Let’s rally around them and encourage them to do their very best. Please ensure students:

• Get a good night’s rest
  
• Arrive at school on time
  
• Eat a healthy breakfast
  
• Come ready to focus and shine

5th Grade Parents ONLY – Transition to Middle School

Middle school transition support sessions will be held:

• March 5 and March 10
  
• 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
  

Please bring all required registration documentation with you.

If you are unable to attend one of these sessions, you may complete the registration process through ParentVUE.

⚠️ All registrations must be completed by March 20.

Important Reminders

• Continue completing all homework assignments.
  
• Check Class Dojo regularly for updates and classroom communication.
• It is imperative that students report to school on time each day. Instruction begins promptly, and every minute matters!

• March 17 – Individual Pictures (Blurred Xposure)
  
• March 18 – 2nd Quarter Attendance Recognition (Rescheduled): PreK through Grade 2nd @ 8:30am. Grades 3rd through 5th @ 9:30am
  
• March 20 – School is OPEN
  
• March 24 – Title I Parent Meeting (Budget 2027 Discussion – We Need Your Voice!)
  
• March 27 – Early Dismissal
• March 30 – April 6 – Spring Break
  

We also have several exciting field trips planned this month. Be sure to return permission slips on time and stay connected with your child’s teacher for details.

As we move into spring, let’s continue working together to ensure strong attendance, academic focus, and positive momentum as we head toward state testing season.
