Meet Our Principal

Greetings,

My name is Sharelle Stagg and I proudly serve as the Principal of Magnolia Elementary School.  Thank you for visiting our school website!  We aim to provide clear and consistent communication to our school community so I invite you to carefully review each section for key updates and information. If for some reason you are unable to locate what you are looking for, please feel free to contact our Main Office for assistance. 

To share a little about myself - I have spent my entire 20 year career in education serving in Prince George’s County Public Schools.  Previously, I have served as a General Education Teacher, Special Education Teacher and Assistant Principal.  While the roles have evolved, my sincere commitment to making all children feel seen and valued has not changed.  As someone who has always loved school and benefited greatly from the encouragement of educators, I firmly believe in the undeniable impact a positive school experience can have on one’s life.  I am a proud product of D.C Public Schools, earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and Elementary Education from the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) and a Master’s in Special Education from Bowie State University.  It is my daily aim to ensure Magnolia is a place where children, staff and families feel safe and cared for and academic growth and achievement is the norm.  

As the Principal, I see myself as the Lead Learner. Each day is an opportunity to collaborate, connect and learn something new.  While I am committed to leading, problem-solving and improving academic results, I do not have all of the answers and I cannot do it alone. As individuals, we each bring our unique perspectives, insights and experiences. I value the input and voice of all and look forward to hearing from and working with you all.
