Attendance

All students are expected to attend school regularly in accordance with state laws and regulations. The schools, families, and communities must work together to foster exemplary attendance for all students.
(Board Policy 5113)

Here is the Administrative Procedure: Student Attendance, Absence, and Truancy.

Visiting School Grounds

In order to create a climate and culture of support for all students, there is an expectation for all stakeholders to work together. Any interaction between school personnel and families, volunteers and visitors should start with assuming good intentions in others.

All visitors are required to enter though designated exterior electronic access entry doors. The visitor should state their name and purpose for their visit through the video intercom system. Each visitor is required to show their government issued ID. 

Early Dismissal 
The early dismissal cut off time is 2:00PM. NO EXCEPTIONS! Students can only be released to authorized individuals listed in School Max. 

Food Drop Off
Food drop off is prohibited. This includes DoorDash, Uber Eats, etc. Please encourage your child to eat school lunch or bring a bagged lunch to school.

 

Family Access Portal

 

Family Access Portal allows authorized caretakers to log into SchoolMAX from any device with internet connection and view the child's student information, including current attendance records, and assignment scores.

Updated Contact Information in SchoolMax

HAZEL HEALTH
Hazel Health has partnered with Prince George's County Public Schools to provide access to quality healthcare services for all students, at no cost to families, this school year. A school health representative can initiate a video visit with a Hazel health care provider while your child is at school to provide either physical or mental health services.
