Academy of Health Sciences Class of 2026 Sets a New Standard of Excellence
The Class of 2026 at the Academy of Health Sciences at Prince George’s Community College is making history with remarkable academic achievements, scholarship awards and service to the community.
For the first time in school history, the graduating class celebrates three valedictorians — Nyonna Nash, Elizabeth Osunjimi and Arianna Ukonu — highlighting the exceptional talent and dedication of this year’s seniors.
The 119 graduates collectively earned an astounding $42.5 million in scholarships, and every graduate completed 56 or more college credits before graduation, continuing the school’s tradition of academic excellence and college readiness.
Several students earned prestigious national scholarships and honors, including:
- Nigist Andargie, who earned a full-ride scholarship to Northwestern University and completed a class-leading 343 service-learning hours
- Nyonna Nash, recipient of a full-ride scholarship to Ohio State University
- Elizabeth Osunjimi and Kiyah Thomas, who each earned the prestigious C.D. Mott, Jr. Incentive Awards Program full-ride scholarship to University of Maryland, College Park
- Haram Sheikh, who earned a full-ride scholarship to Washington and Lee University
- Iremofe Seun-Olufemi, a QuestBridge recipient who will attend Dartmouth College
The class also includes distinguished scholars such as:
- Amira Antoine, a Posse Scholar attending Bucknell University
- Olufikayo (Olu) Alabi, a Posse Scholar attending University of Rochester
- Adedamola Adewoye, recipient of a National Guard full-ride scholarship to Rutgers University–New Brunswick
- Dayna Kamgang, a Presidential Scholar at Notre Dame of Maryland University earning $45,450 annually
- Sidney Pulliam, a Presidential Scholar at Loyola University Maryland earning $39,000 annually
The Class of 2026 also demonstrated excellence in college admissions:
- Alexia Barino earned acceptance to 29 universities before selecting University of Maryland, College Park
- Amara Okudoh received acceptance offers from 25 universities
