The Class of 2026 at Surrattsville High School has much to celebrate this graduation season, with students excelling academically, athletically, and personally.

Among standout seniors is Emmanuel “Manny” Davis, who persevered through school while navigating his autism diagnosis. Manny was accepted to more than 18 colleges and universities and credits his mother’s dedication and support for helping keep him on track throughout his journey.

Zephaniah Fowlkes also achieved an incredible milestone, earning acceptance to the University of Rochester along with more than $192,000 in scholarships and grants.

This year, 20 seniors earned the Maryland Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish, Tagalog, and Vietnamese, while one senior completed an impressive 545.5 SSL hours.

Surrattsville athletics also had a historic year. The Unified Track Team competed at the Penn Relays, won the County Championship, and placed second overall in the State Championship. The school also celebrated its first young lady to commit to playing collegiate girls flag football.

Additional highlights include softball advancing to the Regional Championship, wrestling sending athletes to Regional Finals and the State Tournament, and one senior becoming the first student in the county to earn her CDA certification as a licensed daycare/preschool teacher.
