Safe Passage Coordinators

Safe Passage Coordinators play a crucial role in supporting student safety beyond the school building. They work in collaboration with school administrators, local law enforcement, and community stakeholders to ensure that students travel to and from school safely.

Safe Passage Coordinators:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor designated routes before and after school hours.
  • Build relationships with students and serve as trusted adult figures.
  • Identify and respond to safety concerns in surrounding neighborhoods.
  • De-escalate conflicts and report incidents to appropriate authorities.
  • Support a positive school climate through visibility and engagement.

Safe Passage Coordinators serve as a bridge between the school and the surrounding community, helping to foster trust, reduce incidents, and maintain a secure environment for all students during their daily commutes.
