Ms. Crusoe is a transformative educational leader with more than 20 years of experience serving students, educators, and families in Prince George’s County Public Schools. Since beginning her career as a middle school mathematics teacher in 2005, she has served in a variety of instructional and leadership capacities, including Mentor Teacher and Instructional Lead Teacher, and currently serves as Assistant Principal at Ernest E. Just Middle School. While these represent only a few of the roles she has held throughout her career, each has strengthened her ability to lead from multiple perspectives—as a classroom teacher, instructional leader, mentor, and school administrator. These experiences have shaped her belief that effective leadership begins with relationships, trust, and a genuine commitment to the growth of others. She leads by listening, building relationships, making informed decisions, and providing the support and accountability necessary for people to thrive.
Ms. Crusoe is passionate about increasing student achievement by building educator capacity, strengthening student self-efficacy, and cultivating meaningful partnerships with families and the community. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Applied Mathematics and a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Mathematics. She has continued to deepen her expertise in educational leadership through advanced leadership preparation and professional learning. Guided by her belief in providing correction, direction, and support with grace and truth, Ms. Crusoe strives to create environments where people feel valued, empowered, and challenged to grow. A lifelong learner, she leads with humility, curiosity, and intentionality, guided by her personal motto: “Chase progress, not perfection..
