Dear KMSSI Families,

Welcome to the first day of the 2026–2027 school year at Kettering Middle School Spanish Immersion!

We are excited to welcome our Cougars back into the building and begin another year of learning, growth, and connection. There is always something special about the first day of school—the energy, the excitement, and the opportunity to begin fresh together.

As we start the year, our work will be grounded in “The Standard: Excellence in Every Classroom. Every Relationship. Every Day.” This commitment reflects the experience we want every student and family to have at KMSSI—high-quality instruction, strong relationships, clear expectations, and a school community where every student feels valued, supported, and challenged to grow.

Our three schoolwide priorities this year are:

• Safe and Inclusive School Culture and Climate

• Accelerating Achievement in Reading and Mathematics

• Strong Family and Community Partnerships

Just a reminder, our student hours are 7:30 a.m. – 2:15 p.m.

We also look forward to welcoming our families to Back-to-School Night on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. This will be an opportunity to meet our teachers, learn more about the school year, and continue building strong partnerships between home and school.

I am grateful for the opportunity to lead this community and excited about what we will accomplish together. We are ready to welcome our students, set the tone, and make this an outstanding year at KMSSI.
