Uniform Requirements

Voluntary Uniform Guidelines - All Grade Levels

Uniforms are not mandatory for students at Kettering MS Spanish Immersion. However, we encourage and authorize the following uniform guidelines: 

Tops

Navy Blue Polo - Long or Short Sleeved

Bottoms

Navy Blue Pants or Skirts

Mandatory Dress Code

All students must follow the mandatory dress code established by PGCPS.

Head

  • Headdresses can be worn indoors for religious or health reasons only. (This includes hoods and ski masks. They must not be worn inside the school.)**

Shirts and Blouses

  • While sweatshirts with hoods (hoodies) are permitted, hoods may not be worn on the head within the building.
  • Shirts and blouses should be continuous from the neckline to the waist, and the entire midsection should not show. Tank tops and muscle shirts are not allowed.
  • No clothing with vulgar language, obscene pictures, weapons, drugs/alcohol or drug paraphernalia and tobacco products.
  • No identifiable gang/crew clothing or paraphernalia. No see-through clothing.

Skirts, Dresses & Shorts

  • Skirts, dresses, shorts, and spandex skirts should be approximately six (6) inches below the buttocks or no shorter than fingertip level.

Pants

  • Pants should be secured at the waist: no sagging below the waist to expose undergarments.
  • Tights, stretch pants, leggings, and spandex body suits must be worn with clothing long enough to cover the buttocks.

Coats

  • No heavy coats may be worn inside the building. They must be placed in the student's locker.
  • Lightweight jackets (i.e. windbreakers, jean jackets, and fleece) are permitted.

Shoes

  • Shoes must be worn at all times.

Bookbags

  • Only CLEAR BOOKBAGS will be permitted in Kettering Middle School. Spanish Immersion

** If students do not abide by the rules (i.e., wearing hoods within the building), students will no longer be permitted to wear these items to school.
