August 11, 2026
It is with immense gratitude and excitement that I welcome you to the 2026–2027 school year as the Acting Principal of Marlton Elementary School. Over the past few weeks, I have had the opportunity to meet with families, connect with staff, listen, ask questions, and learn more about what makes Marlton special. One thing has been clear in every conversation: there is a deep love for Marlton and a shared commitment to seeing our children succeed.
I believe schools thrive when every child feels known, every family feels valued, and every staff member feels supported. As we begin this year together, my commitment is to continue listening, learning, and building strong relationships rooted in trust, collaboration, high expectations, and a shared responsibility for our students.
This year's theme represents more than where we are going. It represents how we will get there.
Just like a tree, meaningful growth begins beneath the surface. Our roots are the relationships we build, the expectations we establish, and our unwavering belief that every child can succeed. When those roots are strong, our students have the foundation they need to grow, explore, take risks, and achieve.
Our greatest opportunity is not to become a different school, but to continue building on what already makes Marlton special. As I learn more about our school community, I look forward to working alongside our staff, students, and families to celebrate our strengths, identify opportunities for growth, and create meaningful experiences for our students.
I want our students to be proud to say, “I am a Marlton Mustang.” From the moment they enter our doors, I want them to know they belong here, that we believe in them, and that excellence is something we strive toward together.
As we prepare to welcome our Mustangs back, please mark your calendars for several upcoming opportunities to connect with our school community.
We know students and families are excited to find out who their teacher will be! Your child’s homeroom teacher assignment will be available in ParentVUE and shared through ClassDojo by early next week. Please make sure your ParentVUE contact information is current and that you are connected to Marlton on ClassDojo so you don’t miss this information.
Strong communication between home and school will be an important part of our year together. Please make sure your contact information in ParentVUE remains current so you don't miss important school and district communications.
Families can also stay connected with Marlton through:
We will use these platforms throughout the year to share important announcements, upcoming events, reminders, celebrations, and some of the great things happening at Marlton.
Whether your family has been part of Marlton for years or this will be your first year with us, you are part of our Mustang Herd. I look forward to continuing to listen, learn, and build relationships with our families as we begin this year together.
Thank you for entrusting us with your children. I cannot wait to see our hallways and classrooms filled again and to experience all that this year will bring.
Our roots are strong. Now, it's time to grow.
Rooted in Excellence. Running Toward Greatness.
With gratitude,
Jessica Baynham
