    • Chromebook Distribution April 2, 2020

Greetings Apple Grove Family. Many of you have asked how distance learning will be rolled out.  At this time PGCPS staff are in training to make that happen beginning April 14. Further information will be sent to you from your child’s teacher or teachers.

This message is to provide guidance in the event that your child does not have ANY device on which to access distance learning and submit assignments.  A device is considered to be a phone, laptop, tablet or desktop computer.   If you are in need of a loaned device for your child, a limited number are available per Grade Level Kindergarten – Grade 5  will be distributed on Thursday April 2 at Apple Grove on the following schedule 11:00 – 12:00 Kindergarten through Second Grade , 12:00 to 1:00 Grades 3-5. All sixth grade students and their parents may come from 10:00 – 11:00. Because of the limited number of Chromebooks available , this distribution is for our families who have NO devices on which students may access distance learning. These loaned devices will be given out on a first come first served basis based on your child’s grade level.   All Chromebooks are the property of PGCPS and Apple Grove Elementary and will be returned to the school. You do need Wifi or a hotspot in order for the Chromebook to be operational as well as your child’s log in information. Information on low cost Wifi and / or hot spots is forthcoming from the school system. You are monetarily responsible for breakage, loss or theft. All distributed Chromebooks are in good working order and will be expected to be returned in working order. If you have multiple children you will only receive one device per family.

Please be advised you must have your ID, a copy of  your child’s report card and your own pen to complete a Student Equipment Agreement form in order to receive a Chromebook (no exceptions).  We will be practicing all recommended CDC guidelines for safety , I am thanking you in advance for your patience as we work through this distribution in an orderly fashion.  If you have any questions please email Ms. Linn at
