Federal Income Tax Withholding Methods Publication 15-T
IRS Calculator: The purpose of this application is to help employees to ensure that they do not have too much or too little income tax withheld from their pay. You may use the results of this program to help you complete a new Form W-4. If an employee wishes to recalculate federal taxes for a particular paycheck, the IRS has no online calculator for this purpose. The employee may locate publication 15 and use the rate tables.
Maryland Calculator: The purpose of this application is to help the employee verify the amount of tax to be withheld on a check with a specific amount of taxable wages. To use this tool the employee needs to know that the pay schedule is biweekly along with the amount of their taxable wages and their tax setup.
District of Columbia Calculator: A DC tax calculator is not available. This link takes you to a page on the DC tax website which includes information regarding DC tax rates and average salaries.
Virginia Calculator: The purpose of this application is to compute the amount of tax to be withheld from each of your employees' wages. To use this tool the employee needs to know the amount of taxable wages and their tax setup.
