Before You Start

Before your first day of Orientation, it's important to review key information about payroll and benefits to ensure you're prepared to make informed decisions. These short videos will walk you through everything you need to know—from setting up direct deposit to understanding your health, retirement, and other benefit options.

We encourage you to watch each video carefully, as they will help you complete necessary forms and make selections that best fit your needs. If you have any questions after watching, our HR team is here to help!

Orientation

Your In-Person New Employee Orientation (NEO) will take place over two engaging days designed to introduce you to the PGCPS culture, systems, and essential resources.  You will be notified by your HR Partner of your assigned dates.

Orientation Details:

  • Dates: Bi-weekly on Mondays and Tuesdays
  • Time: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Location: Isaac Gourdine Bldg., 8700 Allentown Rd, Fort Washington, MD 20744

Throughout your time at orientation, you will:

  • Learn about the PGCPS vision, mission, and Understanding the Divisions
  • Explore key systems and technology tools
  • Participate in activities that help you connect with our district’s culture and community
  • Meet with union representatives and support teams
