2025-2026 Uniform Policy

Francis T. Evans ES abides by a mandatory School Dress Code Policy. All students are expected to comply with the dress code during school and school-related events.*

** A student exempted from wearing a school uniform for religious reasons may remain in his/her school or be reassigned to another school. (Board of Education Policy No. 0600 V.C)

Tops

Solid light blue collared shirts, i.e. polo shirts, turtlenecks, or dress shirts , that can either be short or long-sleeved.

Solid navy blue Crew neck, "V" neck, or cardigan sweaters may be worn over uniform tops. *NO SWEATSHIRTS (unless it has a zipper and is navy blue).

Bottoms

Slacks shall be solid color, navy blue, khaki-style, such as Dockers or uniform pants. A belt should be worn if the pants have belt loops. 

Properly fitting navy blue skirts, culottes, jumpers, and dresses must be below fingertip length. Shorts and skorts may be worn, but must also be below fingertip length.

All shirts must be tucked in with a visible waistband or belt.

Spandex, nylon, jeggings, denim, and sweatpants are not permitted. Leggings may be worn underneath the above-mentioned uniform bottoms. Leggings must be navy blue or black.

Shoes

Shoelaces must be tied at ALL times. Non-marking, soft-soled, or tennis shoes are permissible.

Socks

Blue, black, or white socks or hosiery must be worn at all times.

Headwear

Hats, sweat bands, bandannas, or other head apparel are not to be worn in the building, except for religious or medical reasons.
