 The first and easiest way to get involved is by joining the PTSO.     

Want to chaperone a field trip? 

You must obtain a $10 annual background check through PGCPS.  Results are returned in 24-48 hours.  Call the Fingerprinting Office at 301-952-6775 for more information.

Want to be a regular in the classroom? You must obtain a $66 one-time background check and Fingerprinting through PGCPS.  Results are returned in two to three months, and are good indefinitely and at all PGCPS schools.  Call the Fingerprinting Office at 301-952-6775 for more information.

One-time parent visits and speakers (e.g. for Career Day) do NOT  require a background check.
