Virtual Learning Day - Monday, February 23
PGCPS has announced that Monday, February 23rd will be a Synchronous Virtual Learning Day. This means that Virtual Learning will take place with your child's teacher on Google Meet.
Please read the information below which includes our KES Virtual Learning Schedule and Directions for your child to join their Virtual Classroom via Google Meet.
KES Virtual Learning Schedule
Virtual School Day Hours - 9:30 am - 1:30 pm
Schoolwide Lunch 11:30 am - 12:00 pm
Teachers will provide a specific virtual class schedule
Directions to Join Google Meet
IF STUDENT IS USING A PGCPS CHROMEBOOK
- Access Clever - Select the Clever Chromebook toolbar
- Select the Canvas Course
- Select the course from their Homeroom as advised by your teacher
- Locate and Select Google Meet → Select Resources, then the Google Meet button
- Join the Meeting →Click on "Join" for the scheduled Google Meet. → Select "Join call now." *Allow access to your camera and microphone.
- IF STUDENT IS USING PERSONAL DEVICE
- Use any device with internet access and a web browser
- Open a web browser
- Go to PGCPS.org
- Click on "Students" tab and scroll down
- Click on "Clever Login" button
- Click on "Login with Active Directory"
- Enter student username and password (this is the exact same login credentials that is used every day on their chromebooks at school)
- Select Canvas from the Clever Dashboard
- Select the course from their Homeroom as advised by your teacher.
- Locate and Select Google Meet → Select Resources, then the Google Meet button
- Join the Meeting →Click on "Join" for the scheduled Google Meet. → Select "Join call now." *Allow access to your camera and microphone.

Attendance on Virtual Learning Days
- Attendance will be taken based on joining the Google Meet. If your student is unable to access the Google Meet due to technical issues, please notify the teacher and complete the KES Absence Reason Notification Form selecting the reason, "Technical Issues" in order for the absence to be excused.

KES Virtual Learning Help for Families - Drop In Session
Monday, February 23 from 8:30 am - 1:30 pm
Beginning at 8:30 am, prior to the start of the Virtual Day, we will have Drop In hours to provide support for accessing Virtual Learning
