Philosophy

It is the philosophy of the James Ryder Randall Early Childhood Program that children be encouraged to learn and grow by providing a foundation of developmentally appropriate experiences where all children can succeed in a safe and nurturing environment. We believe that each child is a unique individual and that all children can learn. Our preschool program provides learning experiences that consider children's varied abilities, interests, needs, and learning styles. We believe children learn best through meaningful play. Our play-based, child centered program integrates  physical, cognitive, social, emotional, language, self help for the  development of the whole child. Meaningful play encourages problem solving skills which allow for individual growth and development which cultivates the early learning skills needed for kindergarten readiness.  We encourage parents and guardians to participate in our workshops to embrace the connection between home and school.

Mission

The mission of James Ryder Randall Early Childhood Center is to provide early intervention to students. We believe that each child should be given the opportunity to reach his/her fullest potential intellectually, physically, socially and emotionally. We facilitate this growth by fostering internal motivation to participate in and be successful functioning members of society. The quality of our program is enhanced by the cooperative effort of a transdisciplinary team, family, and community.

Vision

James Ryder Randall Early Childhood Center will be a safe, fun, stimulating, nurturing environment where children enter with various abilities and exit with the confidence and foundational skills to be ready for Kindergarten and successful, contributing citizens in our community.
